Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Clinical Psychologist to join our caring team in Langa, Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide mental health support to individuals and groups, offering therapeutic and psychological assessments that cater to our community's diverse needs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose clients using psychological tests and clinical interviews.
  • Create customized treatment goals based on individual client assessments.
  • Facilitate both community and in-house workshops related to mental health.
  • Engage in peer supervision and provide feedback to junior staff.
  • Document effectively to guide therapy and ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide teletherapy options to accommodate diverse client needs.
  • Engage in mentoring and guiding trainees and interns within the practice.
  • Advocate for mental health resources and healthcare reform in the community.
  • Write reports and liaise with insurance companies regarding client care.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology
  • Registration with HPCSA is mandatory
Experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in clinical settings
Technical Skills
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
  • Crisis Intervention Techniques
Soft Skills
  • Active Listening
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
Certifications
  • Registered with HPCSA
  • Ongoing training in innovative therapeutic modalities
Languages
