Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer in Cape Town to help develop and maintain electrical systems. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and experience in project management to oversee project phases from conception through delivery, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve electrical designs for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct site assessments and electrical audits.
• Work with project managers to ensure deadlines and budgets are adhered to.
• Manage project changes and client expectations.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Additional qualifications in project management are beneficial

Experience

• 5 years of experience in electrical projects

Technical Skills

• Matlab
• Electrical Design Software

• Leadership

Certifications

• Registered Electrical Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Familiarity with electrical safety standards: Knowledge of safety standards relevant to electrical engineering.
