Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our Port Elizabeth team. In this role, you will work on a range of infrastructure projects, from conceptual design to execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in civil engineering and have a passion for creating sustainable solutions that enhance community infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and assess project risks.
• Utilize engineering software for project analysis and design.
• Supervise junior engineers and interns, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Report project progress to upper management.
• Implement processes for health and safety compliance in all project phases.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering projects

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Civil 3D

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Communication

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Health and Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with project management software: Knowledge of software such as MS Project or Asana for project tracking.
