School Bus Monitor

Job Description

As a School Bus Monitor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of children while they travel to and from school on our buses. You will assist the bus driver in maintaining order, managing student behaviour, and communicating with parents and school officials as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the bus is a safe environment for all passengers.
• Maintain order and discipline among students on the bus.
• Work collaboratively with the bus driver to facilitate smooth operations.
• Engage with students to create a friendly atmosphere.
• Report any maintenance issues with the bus to the transport coordinator.
• Provide first aid assistance if necessary and hold a valid First Aid certification.
• Be proactive in preventing bullying or unruly behaviour.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the transport coordinator or school officials.
