Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Associate Professor to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to academic and administrative tasks within the department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Conduct independent research and actively seek funding for projects.
• Supervise students’ theses and dissertations.
• Engage in inter-departmental collaborations for educational enrichment.
• Participate in external community partnerships related to sociology.
• Lead workshops to enhance student engagement and learning.
• Advocate for diversity and inclusion within the academic environment.

Requirements

Education

• PhD in Sociology or closely related field

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in teaching and research in a higher education setting
