Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Civil Engineer to enhance our engineering team in Pretoria. You will be involved in innovative infrastructure projects, ensuring effective project execution from conception through to completion, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing systems and implement improvements.
• Provide technical guidance on project related issues.
• Conduct peer reviews of designs and project plans.
• Foster a culture of safety within the team and throughout projects.
• Prepare project reports and updates for stakeholders.
• Ensure timely submission of planning applications and permits.
• Assist in the preparation of environmental assessments.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in infrastructure projects

• AutoCAD
• Project Management
• Structural Design

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) Registration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in GIS software: Understanding of Geographic Information Systems for project planning and analysis.
• Leadership experience on engineering teams: Experience leading teams and managing engineering projects effectively.
