The Funeral Services Embalmer plays a crucial role in preparing the deceased individuals for funeral services. This position requires a deep understanding of anatomical structures and a commitment to ensuring respect and dignity in all interactions with bereaved families.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and embalm deceased individuals for funeral services.
• Adhere to all legal and ethical practices in embalming processes.
• Work collaboratively with funeral directors to ensure family needs are met.
• Cosmetically prepare bodies for viewings to enhance dignity.
• Engage in community outreach to educate about our services.
• Participate in team meetings for continuous quality improvement.
• Assist with inventory management of embalming supplies and equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Formal training in grief counseling is advantageous

Experience

• At least 2 years of combined experience in embalming and customer service in the funeral industry
