Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cow Rider who will be responsible for the management and care of our cattle. This role involves working closely with livestock, ensuring their health and safety while performing tasks such as herding and feeding them.

Responsibilities

• Utilize horseback riding skills to effectively manage herds.
• Schedule and carry out feeding routines for the cattle.
• Report on cow health and any issues encountered.
• Administer medications as prescribed by veterinary staff.
• Oversee the security and maintenance of the farm premises.
• Keep logs of daily activities and treatment protocols.
• Assist with breeding activities and monitor pregnancy in cows.
• Ensure effective cleaning and maintenance of cattle housing.
• Adhere to all farm safety guidelines.
• Work in tandem with team members on operational needs.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Agricultural Diploma or similar training (preferred)

Experience

• 1-3 years in livestock farming or related fields

Technical Skills

• Horse Riding

Certifications

• Basic First Aid for Animal Care

Languages

• English: Fluent
