Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Civil Engineer to join our Durban-based team. You will be responsible for managing civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and overseeing construction processes, and a passion for sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Create and validate engineering designs and models using software tools.
• Oversee the delivery of engineering projects and coordinate activities with contractors.
• Review and approve design modifications and technical documents.
• Implement project management techniques to monitor progress.
• Advise clients on project feasibility and planning.
• Participate in public consultations and represent the firm at meetings.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships for ongoing business.
• Monitor compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the field of civil engineering with supervisory experience.
