Optomechanical Technician

Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Optomechanical Technician who will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting optomechanical systems. This technician will collaborate closely with engineers to ensure the accuracy and functionality of optical and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble optical systems based on engineering guidelines and specifications.
• Conduct rigorous testing to ascertain system performance and reliability.
• Identify and amend any mechanical or optical failures within systems.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering team to innovate designs.
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of all optomechanical tools.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all assembly and testing activities.
• Ensure all operations adhere to safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Assist in training new technicians and engineers in optomechanical practices.
• Research and implement the latest optomechanical technologies.
• Control and track the inventory for optical and mechanical parts.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Certifications in optomechanical technology are highly advantageous.

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in related technical roles.
