We are seeking a dedicated First-Line Supervisor to manage a team of correctional officers during shifts. You will ensure safety, compliance, and the effective execution of policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Manage and motivate a team of correctional officers during shifts.
Oversee safety compliance and respond to any disturbances.
Compile daily reports on staff activities and incidents.
Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Ensure all operational procedures are followed accurately.
Liaise with administration regarding staffing and inmate issues.
Lead training sessions for staff on safety and emergency protocols.
Handle conflicts among inmates and staff efficiently.
Support the rehabilitation efforts of inmates through oversight.
Assist in the development of shift schedules based on needs.
Requirements
Education
Matric Certificate
Degree in Criminal Justice or related field is preferred
Experience
At least 3 years in a supervisory role within a correctional facility
