Construction Site Supervisor

Job Description

As a Construction Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in planning and executing construction projects in Durban. You will coordinate with various stakeholders, handle site inspections, and ensure all work complies with industry standards. This position requires strong leadership and effective problem-solving skills to keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

• Lead site meetings to discuss progress, safety, and upcoming tasks.
• Develop timelines and schedules for project activities.
• Monitor environmental and quality standards on site.
• Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for projects.
• Work closely with the project manager to align on project goals.
• Evaluate and report on the performance of subcontractors.
• Ensure that all site staff have the necessary training and certifications.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements on site.
• Manage site logistics including deliveries and material storage.
• Coordinate site access for visitors and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Building and Construction
• BTech in Construction Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in supervisory roles within the construction industry

Certifications

• Registered Construction Manager (RCM)
