Job Description

We are currently seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide technical support to our clients, ensuring their IT systems run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, setting up hardware and software, and training users on new systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective support and solutions to users experiencing issues.
• Help in configuring and managing cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software solutions.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with IT policies and regulations.
• Conduct routine system audits to ensure security compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Generate and maintain metrics for IT operations.
• Report directly to the IT Manager with updates and escalations.
• Manage project timelines efficiently to meet service expectations.

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure): Understanding and experience with cloud platforms and services.
• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB): Familiarity with setting up and managing databases.
