Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Actuary to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. You will leverage your expertise in risk assessment and quantitative analysis to provide insightful recommendations and support strategic decisions for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Analyze loss trends and develop forecasts for financial reporting.
• Consult with business units to provide actuarial insight and recommendations.
• Contribute to the improvement of risk management frameworks.
• Conduct peer reviews of actuarial findings and methodologies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams on strategic projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Master's degree in a related field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience

Technical Skills

• SQL
• Predictive Analytics Tools

Certifications

• FSA - Fellow of the Society of Actuaries
• Actuarial Foundation Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
