Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Veterinary Technician to work alongside our dedicated veterinary staff in Pretoria. You'll be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, managing medication, and ensuring the comfort of our animal patients.

Responsibilities

• Help with imaging and diagnostic procedures.
• Safely restrain animals during examinations.
• Teach pet owners how to care for their pets after treatment.
• Assist with emergency care and triage as needed.
• Maintain a pleasant environment for pets and their owners.
• Support the implementation of practice protocols.
• Participate in community outreach and education.
• Keep updated on veterinary best practices and regulations.

Advantageous

• Knowledge of veterinary practices in South Africa: Understanding of local veterinary regulations and practices.
• Experience with mentoring junior staff: Ability to guide and mentor less experienced team members.
