Responsibilities

• Assess risks associated with insurance policies and applications.
• Negotiate terms with brokers and clients to finalize agreements.
• Assist in developing new insurance products based on market needs.
• Evaluate claims made against policies to inform underwriting decisions.
• Document interactions and maintain detailed underwriting files.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or Applied Finance
• Advanced certification in Insurance is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in underwriting or risk assessment with a focus on insurance policies

• Statistical Analysis

• Negotiation Skills
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)
• Certified Risk Manager (CRM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in a customer-facing role: Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients.
