Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating risks and deciding on coverage limits for various insurance policies. Your work will directly impact the quality of the policies our clients receive, pushing for excellence in underwriting standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications for risk assessment and coverage eligibility.
• Analyze data and information to make informed decisions on underwriting.
• Collaborate with sales and agents to develop accurate quotes and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Identify trends in claims data to adjust underwriting strategies.
• Communicate with clients and agents to explain underwriting decisions.
• Review and update existing policies as necessary to reflect current conditions.
• Assist in training junior underwriters on best practices and procedures.
• Participate in audits and assessments of underwriting processes.
• Maintain detailed applicant records and underwriting files.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in insurance underwriting or a related field
