Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, ensuring the well-being of our furry patients. You will provide excellent care and communicate effectively with pet owners about treatment plans and preventative care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess animal conditions and respond promptly to urgent cases.
  • Perform follow-up examinations and treatment assessments.
  • Collaborate with specialists when advanced treatment is required.
  • Implement procedures to ensure a safe environment in the clinic.
  • Document client communications and patient progress accurately.
  • Promote high standards of care and adherence to veterinary ethics.
  • Participate in the development of clinic policies and improvement strategies.
  • Support the clinic’s overall mission and values in all aspects of work.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science
  • Postgraduate diploma in Clinical Practice is advantageous
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a veterinary setting
