DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer in Bloemfontein who is passionate about cloud computing and automation. You will be responsible for implementing CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and managing cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of infrastructure through regular maintenance.
• Work closely with developers to integrate their insights into deployment pipelines.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in DevOps practices across teams.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps with a focus on cloud technologies

Technical Skills

• Kubernetes
• Jenkins

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with GitOps methodologies: Agile deployment practices utilizing Git as a single source of truth.
• Cloud certification in Azure or GCP: Valid certification in either Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
