Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher, you will design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities. Your role will involve adapting teaching methods to meet diverse needs, collaborating with colleagues and parents, and creating an inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and adapt instructional materials to cater to all learning styles.
• Develop and nurture positive relationships with students.
• Facilitate group activities to boost social skills.
• Engage in community outreach to promote special education.
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress.
• Prepare reports for stakeholders regarding student achievements.
• Participate in school-wide events and activities.
• Promote awareness and understanding of disabilities within the school community.
• Advocate for the needs of students with disabilities.
• Foster an encouraging and motivational classroom environment.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Special Education is preferred
• Relevant teaching qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in special education settings
