Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Food Safety Inspector to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and contributing to food safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead food safety audits and assessments within the company and at external facilities.
  • Assist in the development of training materials for food safety programs.
  • Conduct inspections of food processing, storage, and distribution facilities.
  • Collaborate with local health departments and agencies for compliance initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote food safety standards and practices.
  • Prepare and present findings to management and other stakeholders.
  • Document all findings in a clear and concise manner for further review.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Public Health, Microbiology or similar field
  • Certifications in food safety management are an advantage
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or food safety management
