Project Engineer

Job Description

As a Project Engineer in Cape Town, you will oversee all phases of construction projects. You will be involved in planning, execution, and performance reporting, while ensuring that all project outcomes meet stakeholder expectations and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design project specifications and objectives.
• Develop project management plans that align with company goals.
• Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans.
• Provide technical support to team members as needed.
• Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during project execution.
• Document lessons learned and make recommendations for future projects.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of subcontractors.
• Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical)
• Postgraduate qualifications are a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or management within the construction industry

• Engineering Design Software
