Public Health Officer

Job Description

As a Public Health Officer in Johannesburg, you'll coordinate health promotion activities, evaluate program effectiveness, and work closely with community stakeholders. We're looking for someone who possesses a strategic mindset and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee health assessments and screenings in the community.
• Support data collection and maintain health records and reports.
• Develop educational materials for public health campaigns.
• Coordinate with local organizations for health outreach and services.
• Monitor health trends and prepare reports for the director.
• Conduct evaluations of existing public health programs for improvement.
• Engage with patients and families to understand health needs.
• Provide training for staff on health education and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or relevant field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in public health program management
