Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounting records, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Your role will also involve collaborating with other departments to optimize costs and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Maintain and manage fixed asset register.
• Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with local and statutory laws.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision making.
• Support monthly payroll processing.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain good relationships with auditors.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant job experience

Certifications

• CPA or CA Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with financial modeling: Proficiency in creating financial models for scenario analysis.
