Job Description

HealthFirst Pharmacy is seeking a qualified pharmacist to join our dedicated team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication use, providing patient counseling, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe dispensing of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
• Conduct medication therapy management consultations.
• Monitor patient medication therapy for effectiveness and safety.
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper medication usage.
• Document and report adverse drug reactions.
• Contribute to the development of pharmacy services and protocols.
• Engage in community health initiatives and outreach programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist in South Africa
