Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee our housekeeping operations in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness, training staff, and managing resources efficiently to provide exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate housekeeping staff to achieve high performance standards.
• Ensure all housekeeping tasks are completed within established timeframes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the housekeeping department.
• Conduct training sessions for new staff on proper cleaning techniques and equipment use.
• Collaborate with management to improve housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses related to housekeeping operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns.
• Perform regular audits of housekeeping supplies and order as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Formal training in housekeeping management is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in housekeeping, with proven supervisory experience

Advantageous

• Experience with PMS Software: Familiarity with Property Management Systems to manage bookings and housekeeping.
