Job Description

As a Tax Specialist in our firm, you will be tasked with providing innovative tax solutions and strategies for clients. Your experience will contribute to the improvement of our tax processes while ensuring compliance with tax legislation. You will collaborate with various teams to integrate tax strategies into broader business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Review and finalize tax plans for clients.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of clients' financial situations.
• Provide guidance on tax implications of business transactions.
• Ensure timely payment of taxes to avoid penalties.
• Prepare documentation for IRS inquiries as needed.
• Collect and analyze data for tax projections.
• Implement technology solutions to enhance tax processes.
• Advocate for clients during tax audits.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Taxation or Business Administration is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax advisory and compliance

Technical Skills

• Tax Legislation Knowledge
• Risk Management

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Client Relationship Management

Certifications

• Professional Tax Practitioner (PTP) certification
• CA(SA) designation is a strong advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans or another official language: Ability to communicate in multiple languages is beneficial.
• Experience in corporate taxation or VAT compliance: Knowledge of additional tax types is advantageous.
