Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Response Nurse to join our team in Cape Town. This role is critical in providing immediate medical attention in emergency situations. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical skills, a passion for emergency medicine, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients.
• Perform triage and initial assessments in a fast-paced environment.
• Administer intravenous medications and provide life-saving interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals during emergency cases.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage case documentation.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
• Engage in regular training to stay updated with emergency care practices.
• Promote safety and compliance within the emergency department.
• Participate in disaster preparedness training and exercises.
• Assist with patient flow and management during peak times.

Requirements

Education

• Nursing Degree from a recognized institution
• Advanced Diploma in Emergency Nursing preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in emergency nursing

• Trauma Care

Certifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Emergency Nursing Certification (CEN)

Languages

• English: Fluent
