Job Description

Health First Pharmacy is looking for an experienced Pharmacist in Pretoria. This is a rare opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on patient care, where you'll be responsible for providing pharmaceutical advice and managing medication therapies for patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and provide personalized pharmaceutical care.
• Coordinate with prescribers on medication therapy management.
• Document patient consultations and interventions accurately.
• Conduct medication therapy reviews for safety and effectiveness.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
• Master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a clinical or retail pharmacy environment

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacy Skills
• Inventory Management

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist with SAPC
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Herbal Remedies: Understanding of traditional and herbal remedies in patient care.
• Experience with Health Promotions: Previous involvement in health promotion activities and community outreach.
