Production Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our Cape Town facility. The successful candidate will oversee all stages of production, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency, while leading a team of dedicated staff.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive production reports outlining efficiency and productivity.
• Manage relationships with external partners and vendors involved in production.
• Implement strategies for workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Drive initiatives for sustainable production practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies that could improve production.
• Facilitate training and development opportunities for production staff.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Promote a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement within the production team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Technology or related field
• Degree in Operations Management is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management

• Production Planning
• ERP Systems

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SAP ERP Systems: Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for production planning.
• Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations: Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable in a manufacturing setting.
