Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Manager to lead our team at our Port Elizabeth hotel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hotel operations, managing guest experiences, and motivating staff to deliver top-notch service. Understanding the local market and trends is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise hotel staff across all departments for operational effectiveness.
  • Assess market trends and make strategic decisions to enhance hotel positioning.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through hands-on management and guest interaction.
  • Manage hotel inventory, including supplies, linens, and equipment.
  • Facilitate training programs to enhance staff skills and service delivery.
  • Actively participate in local community outreach and events to promote the hotel.
  • Develop contingency plans for emergency situations.
  • Review and optimize hotel policies and procedures for better efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Business Management or Hospitality
  • Specialized training in customer service is a plus

  • At least 5 years of experience in hotel operations or management
