Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Site Foreman to oversee construction activities at our projects in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a profound understanding of construction practices, ensuring timely project delivery and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site teams in executing construction plans and schedules.
  • Monitor work progress and quality, addressing any deviations from plans.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all workers are following health and safety guidelines.
  • Prepare progress reports for upper management and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project alignment.
  • Assist in selecting and managing subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure the effective use of materials and equipment to maximize productivity.
  • Train and mentor junior site staff and new hires.
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized site to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Higher education is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of site management experience with a proven record of successful projects
