Job Description

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Cape Town. This position is integral to delivering quality patient care, diagnosing and treating ailments, and managing overall patient health. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a commitment to community health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient histories.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of conditions and illnesses.
• Provide preventative care and educate patients on health maintenance.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed and coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and healthcare trends.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
• Provide after-hours or emergency care as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)
• Postgraduate qualifications in primary care are highly regarded

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years working in general practice
