Job Description

The Water Reclamation Systems Operator will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of water treatment systems, ensuring that water quality standards are met and all processes are within regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
• Collect and analyze samples of wastewater and treated water.
• Assist with training of new staff and share knowledge on equipment operations.
• Document maintenance and incident reports as needed.
• Participate in emergency response drills and safety meetings.
• Provide support during audits and inspections from regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Water Treatment Plant Operator Class B Certification or higher

Experience

• Experience with the operation and maintenance of water reclamation systems

Technical Skills

• SCADA systems
• Chemical handling

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail

Certifications

• HAZWOPER Certification (desirable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulations: Understanding of the regulations governing wastewater treatment systems.
• Experience with the maintenance and repair of pumps and motors: Practical experience in maintaining and fixing water system machinery.
