Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems, as well as a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively, meeting both client expectations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage mechanical design projects from conception to completion.
• Analyze project requirements to develop practical solutions.
• Perform simulations and tests on prototypes to validate designs.
• Update design specifications based on testing results and feedback.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Evaluate vendor proposals for materials and components.
• Ensure safety protocols are met during all phases of engineering.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to optimize project outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design or engineering
