Accounting Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our finance team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a solid background in accounting practices and principles to support our operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support the financial month-end closing process.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documents.
• Implement and maintain effective accounting systems and procedures.
• Monitor and review financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in month-end and year-end financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial alignment.
• Provide analysis and recommendations on financial operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Additional certifications (CIMA, ACCA) are a plus;

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar accounting position.
