UX Designer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a creative UX Designer based in Cape Town to craft user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing interfaces. You’ll be responsible for conducting user research, contributing to design sprints, and refining our digital products to enhance usability.

Responsibilities

• Produce design deliverables including sketches, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure design feasibility.
• Engage in user testing and iterate on feedback to refine designs.
• Facilitate design reviews and gather input from team members.
• Evangelize user-centric design principles within the organization.
• Analyze user analytics to improve existing designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in user experience design

Technical Skills

• Wireframing and Mockup Tools
• Responsive Web Design

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Effective Communication

Certifications

• Adobe Certified Expert (ACE)
• Certified Usability Analyst (CUA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans: Ability to communicate in Afrikaans is an advantage.
• Experience with Design Thinking Workshops: Facilitation of workshops to generate ideas and gather user feedback.
