Job Description

Become part of a dynamic healthcare team as a Physician (General Practitioner) in Cape Town. Your role will include diagnosing, treating, and advising patients on various medical issues, facilitating referrals to specialists as needed, and promoting well-being within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations.
  • Create and manage patient treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Conduct follow-up assessments to monitor progress and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Take a leading role in preventive healthcare initiatives.
  • Educate patients about healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems to document care accurately.
  • Participate in clinical research and trials when applicable.
  • Support the training and mentoring of junior medical staff.
  • Actively engage in community health management and awareness programs.

Requirements

Education
  • MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
  • Postgraduate training in Family Medicine is an advantage
Experience
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in a similar role
