DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of an experienced DevOps Engineer to transform our operations in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be tasked with managing our cloud infrastructure, driving continuous integration and delivery practices, and fostering a culture of collaboration across teams. Your ability to automate repetitive tasks and your solid understanding of cloud technologies will be vital to our success.

Responsibilities

• Set up monitoring and alerting solutions for infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate in troubleshooting application performance issues and outages.
• Evaluate and implement new DevOps tools and technologies.
• Assist with capacity planning and resource management of cloud resources.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments of cloud environments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in related technical field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps roles or similar

Technical Skills

• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Kubernetes

Soft Skills

• Team Player
• Proactive attitude

Certifications

• Docker Certified Associate
• Google Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of infrastructure security: Knowledge on best practices for securing cloud infrastructure.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies: Experience working in Agile teams and Scrum processes.
