We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our clinic in Pietermaritzburg. Your role will involve hands-on surgical procedures, preventative care, and fostering a welcoming environment for pet owners. You will strive to advance animal health through diagnostics, treatment plans and community outreach programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage acute and chronic health conditions in pets using best practice protocols.
• Provide aftercare following surgical procedures and monitor animal recovery.
• Strengthen client relationships through proactive engagement and support.
• Participate in local pet health initiatives to foster community ties.
• Oversee the clinic’s compliance with animal welfare laws and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Postgraduate qualifications are regarded as an advantage.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in veterinary practice.
