Foundry Mold and Coremaker

Job Description

The Foundry Mold and Coremaker will be responsible for finishing and polishing molds to ensure they meet quality standards. The role involves collaborating closely with a team of technicians and ensuring that molds are completed on time and meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Polish and finish molds using various tools and equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections to detect defects and rectify them promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace for safety and efficiency.
• Support the injection molding team with timely updates on mold readiness.
• Utilize CAD software for measuring and finalizing mold designs.
• Implement process improvements to enhance mold finishing efficiency.
• Assist in training new team members on proper mold finishing techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Further training in manufacturing processes is an advantage

Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in polishing and buffing tools
• Knowledge of CAD software

• Teamwork and collaboration skills
