Your role will involve working closely with patients and various healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
• Implement and evaluate nursing care plans.
• Educate patients regarding potential side effects of medications.
• Manage patient schedules and administrative tasks.
• Monitor and manage IVs and other treatments.
• Foster a positive and safe environment for patients.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department.
• Supervise and train nursing students and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a hospital setting preferred

Technical Skills

• Medication Administration
• Health Education

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Registered Nurse License
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in geriatrics or palliative care: Knowledgeable in providing care for elderly patients and those with end-of-life needs.
• Fluency in additional South African languages: Ability to communicate with a diverse patient population.
