Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Doctor of Radiology to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting medical images and performing diagnostic procedures to assist in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely interpretations of medical images.
• Document results accurately for patient records.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
• Manage and oversee the use of imaging technologies and maintain equipment.
• Participate in continuing education and training opportunities.
• Engage in quality assurance initiatives to improve radiology services.

Requirements

Education

• Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent)
• Specialization in radiology (FCR or equivalent)

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a radiology department

Technical Skills

• Medical imaging techniques
• Radiology Information Systems (RIS)

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a private healthcare setting: Proven track record working within private healthcare facilities.
• Experience with interventional radiology procedures: Hands-on experience in performing minimally invasive procedures.
• Experience with digital mammography: Familiarity with the latest imaging technologies in breast screening.
