We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Pietermaritzburg team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems. Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs for mechanical systems in compliance with industry standards.
• Evaluate design performance through simulations and testing.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors for project requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Document all design processes and changes efficiently.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer registration is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SolidWorks

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus): Knowledge of finite element analysis for structural integrity assessments.
• Familiarity with project management tools: Experience using tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera.
