Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Environmental Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will focus on designing, developing, and implementing projects aimed at preserving and restoring the environment. You'll work with a team dedicated to innovative strategies in environmental management and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental projects from concept to completion.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for environmental initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to integrate environmental solutions.
• Provide expert advice on environmental regulations and compliance issues.
• Develop and manage project budgets and timelines.
• Analyze trends in environmental data to inform decision-making.
• Facilitate training sessions on environmental practices for staff.
• Prepare funding proposals for sustainability projects.
• Establish metrics to evaluate the success of environmental programs.
• Foster relationships with clients to promote environmental best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Water Quality Management
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification

• English: Fluent
