Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will work collaboratively with clients to develop effective treatment plans aimed at improving their quality of life through rehabilitation and support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of client needs.
• Formulate therapy goals in collaboration with clients and families.
• Implement intervention strategies tailored to individual capabilities.
• Provide training on techniques for daily living activities.
• Document and report on clients' progress and therapeutic outcomes.
• Participate in case management and review meetings.
• Educate healthcare staff about occupational therapy practices.
• Assist in developing community integration programs for clients.
• Promote wellness and preventative care within the community.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
• Registered with the HPCSA

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in occupational therapy, especially with diverse populations

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• CPR and First Aid Certification: Valid certification in CPR and First Aid to ensure client safety.
• Experience in mental health therapy: Ability to address mental health issues within the therapy framework.
