Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team in Pretoria. In this role, you will assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and patient care while ensuring a safe environment for both animals and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare animals for examinations and surgical procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory samples.
• Assist in the administration of anesthesia and monitoring of patients during procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene protocols.
• Engage with clients to gather and document medical histories.
• Support the training of new staff and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Technology
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in veterinary clinics or hospitals

• Veterinary Software Proficiency

• Advanced Canine First Aid Certification
