Job Description

Join our team as a Public Health Specialist where you will be at the forefront of health promotion efforts. Responsibilities include assessing community health data, designing awareness campaigns, and building partnerships to enhance public health services across Durban.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to evaluate community health challenges.
• Create and implement health awareness campaigns.
• Engage with stakeholders to promote health-related initiatives.
• Prepare reports and presentations for community meetings.
• Coordinate resources for health education and promotion activities.
• Support the collection and analysis of health surveillance data.
• Develop materials for public health promotion efforts.
• Participate in health conferences and networking events.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in public health or community health roles

• Health Data Analysis

• Strong Communication
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)
• Basic Life Support Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
