Responsibilities

• Compile financial reports for management review.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Participate in the company's annual budgeting process.
• Evaluate internal controls and suggest improvements.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
• Maintain financial data integrity and confidentiality.
• Facilitate payment processing and vendor management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Accounting Software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks)
• Financial Reporting

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• CIMA or equivalent certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud accounting solutions: Experience using cloud-based accounting software can be beneficial.
• Knowledge of local tax laws: Understanding South African tax laws to ensure compliance is a plus.
