Job Description

We are searching for a dedicated Veterinarian who is passionate about animal health care. In this role, you will work closely with pet owners to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions. Your role will include performing surgeries, conducting health assessments and providing education on preventative care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency care and interventions for injured animals.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Develop personalized care plans for recurring health issues.
  • Engage in ethical decision-making and discussions.
  • Monitor treatment efficacy and make adjustments when necessary.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and interns.
  • Communicate effectively with owners about treatment options and outcomes.
  • Assist in promoting the clinic's services.
  • Participate in research projects when available.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Registered with the Veterinary Council of South Africa (or equivalent)
Experience
  • Min 3 years experience in veterinary medicine or relevant field
